Privacy and permissions
What stays on your device, what permissions the app asks for, and what is ever sent anywhere.
Maestro Pro has no accounts and no adverts, and it does not collect personal data. It does count which features are used, anonymously. Caffeine Media does not receive your scores, recordings or anything else you do in the app. The full policy is on the privacy page.
- What stays on your deviceYour library is stored in the app's folder on your device, or in your own iCloud if you turn it on.
- Microphone permissionThe microphone hears whether you are playing the right note, tunes, and records you, all on the device.
- Apple Music permissionApple Music is used to play a song alongside a score and show its lyrics, under your own account.
- Local network permissionNeeded so devices can find each other for Play Together; messages go directly between them and are encrypted.
- When the app uses the internetOnly when you ask it to: searching for scores, lyrics or singers, downloading a score, and GitHub.
- Anonymous usage statisticsMaestro Pro counts which features are used with Aptabase, with no account, name, email or fixed device identifier.
- Feedback is publicFeedback you send is posted to a public board, so leave out personal details.
