Tuner & Wait for Me
Maestro Pro can listen through the microphone: to tune your instrument, to train a steady note, and to wait for you to play a score note by note. Sound is analysed on the device and is never recorded or sent anywhere.
The tuner
Open the Tuner from the home screen, the + menu, Settings ▸ Listening, or the tuning fork in a score's toolbar. Play a note: the display shows its name, how many cents sharp or flat it is (a cent is a hundredth of a semitone), and the frequency. The needle sits in the green zone when you are in tune, and the trace below shows the last eight seconds.
If your instrument is set to B♭ or E♭ in the Inspector, the written note is shown too. Play Reference Note sounds the note you are aiming for. A = 440 Hz can be changed (415 to 466) for baroque or orchestral tuning.
